Hope and opportunity came alive in Ayedire Local Government as the “AMBO Farmers and Women’s Empowerment Programme,” organized by Hon. Oyelude Oladele, empowered farmers, women, and youths with resources aimed at fostering economic growth and sustainable livelihoods.
Representing the Osun State APC Chairman, Hon. Tajudeen Sooko Olaniyi, Hon. (Chief) Ismail Sefiu Oluwasinaayomi (AKOGUN) delivered a powerful address emphasizing that empowerment remains a strategic investment in people, not an act of charity. He noted that the programme reflects the commitment of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to inclusive development, where farmers, women, and underserved communities are given opportunities to thrive.
In his remarks, Hon. AKOGUN commended the organizer, Hon. Oyelude Oladele, for his visionary leadership and dedication to grassroots development, describing the initiative as a practical demonstration of people-centered governance.
Highlighting the importance of agriculture and women’s contributions to economic growth, AKOGUN urged beneficiaries to make productive use of the support received, describing it as “a seed that must be nurtured and multiplied for sustainable prosperity.”
In a notable moment at the event, Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs. Sekinat Bola Oyebamiji, wife of the APC gubernatorial candidate, expressed her appreciation to Hon. Ismail Sefiu Oluwasinaayomi (AKOGUN) for the consistent positive and encouraging reports she has been receiving about his leadership, commitment, and grassroots engagement. She acknowledged his dedication to the growth of the party and his impactful contributions to community development.
AKOGUN further used the platform to rally party members ahead of the August 15 governorship election, calling for unity, mobilization, and unwavering support for the APC candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), and his running mate, Aare Adereti Benjamin Kayode.
He stressed that the forthcoming election represents a critical opportunity to sustain progressive governance and expand empowerment programmes across Osun State.
