A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Prince Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe (Ph.D), has formally accepted his appointment as the Director-General of the AMBO Campaign Organisation for Osun East, expressing gratitude to party leaders and pledging total commitment to securing electoral victory.
In a statement made available to journalists, Ogungbangbe described his appointment as a great honour and a call to higher responsibility, noting that he accepts the role with humility and a strong sense of duty.
He extended appreciation to former Osun State Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, for his leadership and continued guidance, as well as to the APC gubernatorial candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), for entrusting him with such a critical responsibility at a crucial time in the party’s political journey.
The newly appointed campaign DG also acknowledged the support of party elders, particularly APC leader Chief Bisi Akande, alongside other stakeholders and the State Working Committee led by the party chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, for finding him worthy of the position.
Ogungbangbe stated that his appointment comes at a defining moment that requires strategic coordination, disciplined mobilization, and a results-driven approach to ensure success at the polls. He assured party members of his readiness to deploy his experience and capacity to strengthen party structures and unity across Osun East.
He emphasized that the campaign under his leadership would focus on grassroots mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and an inclusive, issue-based approach that reflects the aspirations of the people and clearly distinguishes the APC’s vision.
“Our objective is clear—to secure a resounding and unquestionable victory at the polls,” he stated, adding that the campaign would energize the party’s base, expand its reach, and engage undecided voters with credible and progressive alternatives.
The APC chieftain further pledged his total loyalty to the party and affirmed his commitment to working collaboratively with all stakeholders to deliver success, noting that the campaign organisation would be repositioned for maximum effectiveness.
He concluded by assuring party members that the AMBO Campaign Organisation in Osun East would not only work towards victory but also set a new standard for political organisation, discipline, and electoral success.
