Frontline House of Representatives aspirant for Osogbo Federal Constituency in 2027 and Chairman of the Romeo Foundation, Prince Dr. Abdulrasheed Muideen Romeo, has formally declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives.
Romeo made the declaration during the Ward 2 meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Olorunda Local Government, where party faithful, stakeholders and grassroots mobilizers gathered in large numbers.
Addressing members at the meeting, he unveiled his aspiration and called for unity, commitment and intensified grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The aspirant also used the opportunity to reaffirm his unwavering support for the APC governorship candidate in the forthcoming August 8 election, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO). He urged party members to sustain aggressive mobilization and ensure maximum voter registration and participation, stressing that victory for AMBO would usher in purposeful and people-oriented governance in Osun State.
“Now is the time for us to close ranks, mobilize our people and secure victory for our great party. AMBO represents competence, experience and continuity of progressive ideals,” Romeo stated.
In the same vein, Prince Romeo joined state and national leaders of the APC in Ifetedo as the National Secretary of the party, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, Ph.D., delivered the keynote address at the University of Osun, Faculty of Law 4th Distinguished Personality Lecture.
The lecture, themed “Democratic Governance, National Security and the Rule of Law,” brought together party leaders, academics, legal minds and political stakeholders to discuss critical national issues. Romeo’s presence underscored his commitment not only to grassroots politics but also to intellectual engagement on governance, security and democratic consolidation.
