The Oranmiyan Group 2 of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Ife South, has thrown its full weight behind the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), in a bold and uncompromising show of strength ahead of the August 8 Osun State governorship election.

Led by Comrade Ayinde Mutiu, the union paid a strategic courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ife South Local Government, Hon. Mufutau Adegbite, at the Council Secretariat, where they made it unequivocally clear that the transport union is not sitting on the fence. The group declared that the August 8 election is a battle for competence, order, and progressive governance, and that NURTW stands firmly with the APC.

Receiving the delegation, Hon. Adegbite praised the union for its discipline, resilience, and grassroots dominance, stressing that no serious political movement can succeed without the backing of organized transport workers who interact daily with the people. He described the NURTW as a decisive force in grassroots mobilisation and political consciousness across Osun State.

The Ife South Chairman further stated that the APC recognizes loyalty and strength, assuring the union that their sacrifices and commitment to the party and the state will be fully acknowledged under an AMBO led administration. He charged them to intensify mobilisation at motor parks, communities, and wards to ensure a resounding APC victory.

Speaking on behalf of the union, Comrade Ayinde Mutiu issued a firm pledge of maximum, and total support for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, declaring that the NURTW’s structures, numbers, and operational capacity will be fully deployed to deliver Ife South and Osun State for the APC on August 8, leaving no room for excuses or surprises.
