The commencement of the 100 free JAMB registration slots generously sponsored by Hon. Sefiu Ismail Oluwasinaayomi (AKOGUN) was officially flagged off amid excitement and appreciation from beneficiaries and their parents. The initiative is designed to ease the financial burden on students and provide them with equal opportunities to pursue their academic aspirations.
The event witnessed the presence of the selected beneficiaries, alongside some parents who came to observe the commencement firsthand. Speaking at the venue, several parents commended Hon. Ismail Sefiu Oluwasinaayomi AKOGUN for his rare kindness, selflessness, and large heart, describing the gesture as a timely intervention that will positively shape the future of many young people across the constituency.
It will be recalled that the beneficiaries of the programme emerged through a transparent and merit-based qualifying examination, which was conducted to ensure fairness, credibility, and equal opportunity for all interested candidates across the Iwo Federal Constituency. This process further strengthened public confidence in the integrity and inclusiveness of the initiative.
While addressing the beneficiaries, the Programme Coordinator, Comrade Olaosebikan Kehinde Femi, assured them of proper welfare and a supportive learning environment throughout the programme. He encouraged the students to remain disciplined, focused, and determined, stressing that the opportunity provided should be maximized to achieve academic excellence.
Comrade Olaosebikan further disclosed that Hon. AKOGUN has promised to offer scholarships to students who score outstanding marks in the forthcoming JAMB examination. This assurance served as added motivation for the beneficiaries, who expressed renewed determination to excel in the examination.
