The attention of Team AKOGUN has been drawn to reports of some individuals planning to stage a protest over the imposition of a candidate for the APC ticket in Iwo Federal Constituency. The team wishes to clearly state that it did not authorize, direct, or encourage anyone to embark on any form of protest on its behalf. All supporters, loyalists, and members of Hon. Ismail Sefiu Oluwasinaayomi AKOGUN are therefore urged to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding while the party’s internal processes continue.
Team AKOGUN further expresses confidence in the leadership and structures of the APC, noting that the team believe that no official candidate has been finally confirmed until the National Working Committee of the party concludes its deliberations and officially release the list of candidates. The team appeals to all supporters to avoid any action capable of causing tension or division within the party, while remaining hopeful and committed to due process and party unity.
