Prince Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe, PhD, has paid a courtesy visit to a foremost Nigerian cleric and respected political figure, Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku, popularly known as Baba Eto. Cardinal Odunmbaku is a leading light in the Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Christ (CCC) and a key member of the Governors Advisory Council (GAC) of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Renowned for his exceptional ability to mobilize and organize people for political engagements, Cardinal Odunmbaku earned a rare nickname from the late Chief M.K.O. Abiola, who openly admired his strategic and grassroots organizational strength. His influence cuts across religious and political spheres, making him a bridge between faith, leadership, and public service.
As the spiritual head of the CCC City of God Cathedral and Soul Winners Ministry, Baba Eto has consistently demonstrated a passion for mass evangelism and national prayer. He is the convener of notable large-scale programmes, including the widely attended Pray for Lagos Programme, which draws worshippers and leaders from different walks of life.
The visit by Prince Ogungbangbe reflects mutual respect and shared values centered on service, leadership, and commitment to societal development, further underscoring the enduring connection between faith and responsible political engagement in Nigeria.
