The Apex leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Modakeke;High Chief Abdul Wahab Bolarinwa Asalu has passionately appealed to all party stakeholders to embrace peace, unity, and mutual understanding in the collective interest of the party and the community at large.
The APC leader made the call during the new year stakeholders’ engagement meeting in his Country Home, Esuyare Modakeke, stressing that internal cohesion and discipline remain the bedrock of sustainable political success.
According to him, only a united and focused APC can effectively consolidate its achievements and deliver meaningful dividends of democracy to the people. He mandated all party members at the meeting to extend hands of fellowship and ensure synergy among all and sundry across the party lines.
The appeal for unity comes at a time when Modakeke Progressives are intensifying efforts to mobilize no fewer than 50,000 votes in support of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, whose leadership qualities and track record were described as exemplary and people-oriented in the forthcoming Osun Guber Poll.
He noted that Modakeke has consistently remained a stronghold of the APC and assured that the progressives in the area are fully committed to strengthening the party’s grassroots structures ahead of the forthcoming political engagements. He urged Local party leaders, ward leaders, youth groups, women leaders, unit heads and community influencers to close ranks and work harmoniously toward a common goal.
While acknowledging that differences of opinion are inevitable in a democratic setting, the APC leader emphasized that such differences must be managed constructively without undermining party unity or collective aspirations.
He warned all political office holders against actions capable of causing internal division, urging all members to prioritize dialogue, respect, and reconciliation.
He further assured that the mobilization drive would be peaceful, inclusive, and issue-driven, adding that the people of Modakeke are ready to demonstrate their loyalty to the APC through massive voter turnout and sustained political engagement.
