Prince Thomas Ogungbangbe Disowns 2026 campaign Face Cap, Issue Public Disclaimer

Prince Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe, PhD, has issued a strong public disclaimer distancing himself from a face cap currently circulating on social media bearing the inscription “OGUNGBANGBE 4 IMOLE 2026.”

In a statement made available to the media, Prince Ogungbangbe clarified that the face cap neither originated from him nor carries his consent, approval, or endorsement. He described attempts to link the material to his person as misleading and capable of causing unnecessary public confusion.

He further explained that the face cap was produced by One Hon. Bayo Ogungbangbe, the current Commissioner for Empowerment under the PDP-led government, stressing that both individuals are entirely different persons and should not be mistaken for one another.

“I am Prince Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe, PhD, and I am not affiliated with the said face cap, its message, or any political agenda it represents,” he stated, emphasizing that he has no connection whatsoever with the material in circulation.

Prince Ogungbangbe urged members of the public, his supporters, and the media to take note of the clarification and exercise caution to avoid being misled by unauthorized political materials.

He concluded by stating that henceforth, any political communication or material not issued directly by him or through his recognized team should be regarded as unauthorized.
