Osogbo, Osun State.
The Osun State Chapter of the Integrity Group of Nigeria has formally declared its full support for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji as the governorship flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing his emergence as a turning point in the party’s collective mission to reposition Osun State.
According to the group, Oyebamiji’s selection represents a victory that extends beyond political blocs, symbolizing a shared mandate for all the progressives and residents eager for a more accountable and development-driven government. The Osun Integrity Group noted that the state stands at the threshold of renewed stability and purposeful leadership.
The organisation expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for what it termed a timely and stabilising intervention. The President’s action, it said, prevented internal divisions and ensured a consensus that preserved party cohesion at a crucial stage in the Osun political space.
In a statement issued by the group’s Publicity Secretary, Hon. Ismail Alade Iwa, The State Chairman, Comrade Salam Mustapha Olamilekan, urged all the party stakeholders, including leaders, aspirants, members and supporters to embrace unity and put aside differences arising from the pre-primary process. They described the period ahead as “a moment requiring healing, collaboration, and renewed commitment.”
The Group Chairman, Comrade Mustapha, also recalled the group’s successful Southwest Integrity Summit, noting that it was more than a regular gathering but “a strategic awakening”. According to him, the summit was used to amplify the economic progress of the President Tinubu-led administration while reinforcing the call for unwavering unity within the Osun APC. He added sharply: “This is not the time for dancing governance. This is not the time for entertainers pretending to be leaders. Osun deserves thinkers, not jokers, managers of men and resources, not social-media performers. Bola Oyebamiji represents competence, not confusion. 2026 is not just an election it is a reclaim mission. Osun APC is going for total victory. No retreat. No surrender. Anyone standing between Osun and good governance will be democratically dismantled.”
The group further appealed to all the APC members to permanently lay down the tensions and grievances of the primary season, stressing that the shared goal of restoring effective governance in Osun must take precedence.
The Integrity Group maintained that only a united front can deliver the quality leadership the state urgently needs.
Addressing the newly-elected flagbearer, the group advised Oyebamiji to lead with inclusiveness and humility, noting that the expectations of the citizenry particularly the market women, youths, elders, and community leaders must be met with genuine engagement and a broad, unifying approach. Leadership, it said, must transcend camp lines and reflect loyalty to the entire state.
The Osun Integrity Group of Nigeria also announced plans to embark on a statewide grassroots mobilisation effort targeting local communities, institutions and social groups. The campaign, it noted, will project the APC as a cohesive and determined force ready to engage the residents and rebuild public confidence.
In its concluding remarks, the group stated that its mission is to end what it described as the current administration’s misdirection and restore governance anchored on fairness, accountability and progress. It called on all the progressives to rise above past bitterness and work towards a unified, hope-driven future for Osun State, declaring: “The time for healing is now; the time for rebuilding is now.”
Congratulations Sir !
