Omooba Dotun Babayemi (ODB) returned home to Gbongan, Ayedaade Local Government, on Wednesday, 8th, October 2025, to mark a major milestone – the 200th ward visited in his ongoing consultation tour across Osun State’s 332 wards.
This journey to the wards was birthed after the successful completion of visits to all 30 Local Governments and the Ife East Area Office in Osun State.
Following those consultations to the Local Governments Headquarters, ODB returned to the State Working Committee to present his findings — a detailed account of the challenges encountered during the LG tours and the pragmatic solutions proposed to address them.
It was from that moment of reflection and responsibility that the ward-to-ward movement was born, aimed at deepening connection with the grassroots and listening directly to the heartbeat of Osun.
The visit to Olufi (Ward 3) and Otun Balogun (Ward 2) in his hometown of Gbongan was, therefore, not just another stop. It was a return to his origin – a reunion with those who believed in him long before the wider mission began. Their joy, prayers, and unwavering belief reignited the passion that drives the journey: to serve with truth, lead with heart, and restore the pride of Osun.
Speaking with deep gratitude, Babayemi shared: “Truly, there’s no place like home. Ayedaade will forever remain the heartbeat of my service, the root of my passion, and the foundation of my commitment to the people.”
With the 30 Local Governments, the Ife East Area Office and 200 wards visited, we have 132 wards to go. Omooba Dotun Babayemi stands resolute – guided by the people’s voices, driven by purpose, and anchored by faith. The mission continues, and the vision remains clear: a better, united, and prosperous Osun.
