Hon. Ismail Sefiu Oluwashinaayomi Calls on Iwo Federal Constituency to Embrace Voter Registration Drive

Iwo, Osun State – August 5, 2025

As the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) sets August 18 as the commencement date for the nationwide voter registration exercise, Hon. Ismail Sefiu Oluwashinaayomi AKOGUN, a respected APC Chieftain from AYIWOLA federal Constituency has issued a passionate appeal to the people of Iwo Federal Constituency, urging them to seize the opportunity to secure their political future.

In a heartfelt message titled “A Special Message to the Great People of Iwo Federal Constituency,” Hon. Oluwashinaayomi described the exercise not merely as a civic obligation, but as a critical step toward shaping the future of the community and the country at large.

This is more than just a civic duty — it is a call to power, a call to responsibility, and a call to destiny,” he declared.

He emphasized that the Permanent Voter Card (PVC) remains the most powerful democratic tool in the hands of the people, stating that it goes beyond being a piece of plastic to becoming a symbol of strength and authority in determining leadership.

The lawmaker urged eligible voters, particularly first-time registrants, those who have relocated, and individuals who have lost or damaged their PVCs, to take full advantage of the upcoming registration window. He called for a massive turnout from every ward, village, and town within the constituency.

Let us not sit back and complain about the system if we are not ready to be part of the change,” he said. “Together, let us build a constituency where our voices are heard and our votes truly count.

Concluding the message, Hon. Oluwashinaayomi reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots mobilization and inclusive governance, while calling on all stakeholders, including traditional rulers, community leaders, and youth groups, to assist in sensitizing the public.

Your vote is your power. Let’s own it. Let’s use it. Let’s protect our future,” he added.

He extended prayers for the growth and prosperity of Iwo Federal Constituency, Osun State, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

As the countdown begins, political observers see this call as a timely reminder for citizens to take ownership of their democratic rights ahead of the 2027 general elections.
