APC UK and Osun Leaders Strategise Ahead of 2026 Governorship and 2027 General Election

The Chairman APC UK Chapter, Hon. Tunde Doherty, hosted a high-level roundtable engagement with the Chairman of the APC in Osun State, Hon. Sooko Tajudeen Lawal Olaniyi, along with other distinguished leaders visiting the United Kingdom.

 

Also present were: Hon. Muyiwa Adesua, Deputy Chairman (South), APC UK, Hon. Andrew Taiwo chairman – APC UK Southwest Caucus, Hon. Jerry Adetona, Chairman, APC UK Osun Caucus, Hon. Ayokunle Agunbiade, Deputy Secretary, APC UK, Pastor Margaret Apoeso Woman Leader APC UK Southwest Caucus, His Excellency Hon. Benedict Alabi, Former Deputy Governor of Osun State amongst APC UK diaspora leaders and stakeholders.

 

The strategic roundtable focused on reinforcing party unity, strengthening grassroots mobilisation, and building momentum ahead of the Osun 2026 Governorship Election and the 2027 General Elections. Key issues discussed included internal preparations for the upcoming state primaries, evaluation of the current government’s performance, and effective messaging to secure a broader mandate.

 

Hon. Sooko Tajudeen Lawal expressed strong confidence that the APC is on track to reclaim Osun State, declaring that the party’s popularity and the overwhelming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will ensure electoral success.

 

In response, Hon. Tunde Doherty pledged the continued loyalty of the APC UK Chapter to the national leadership of the party and assured that the diaspora remains a reliable partner in driving party policies, mobilisation, and political education abroad.

 

The meeting concluded with renewed enthusiasm and commitment from both home-based and diaspora leaders to work hand-in-hand toward APC victories across all levels.
