EID-EL-FITR 2026: *Osun APC Celebrates With Muslim Ummah, Calls For Prayers For Restoration Of Good Governance*

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has heartily felicitated the Muslim Ummah across the state and beyond on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan and the joyous celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.

In a statement issued by the party’s spokesman, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, today, the Osun APC Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, congratulated the Muslim faithful for their devotion, discipline and steadfastness throughout the Ramadan period.

Lawal commended their commitment to the spiritual values of sacrifice, patience and compassion, which are the core teachings of Islam.

The state APC chairman urged the Muslims not to relent in upholding the virtues imbibed during the holy month, emphasizing that the lessons of Ramadan, peace, tolerance, selflessness and unity, must continue to guide their daily lives and interactions within the society.

He further called on the Muslim community to use the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration to offer fervent prayers for Osun State, noting that the state is in dire need of divine intervention for the restoration of genuine leadership and good governance.

According to him: “At this critical period in the history of our dear state, Osun State requires special prayers for enduring peace, enhanced security, unity among its people and the return of purposeful and people-oriented governance”.

While extending warm greetings to the Muslim faithful, Lawal reiterated the commitment of the APC to the progress, stability and overall development of Osun State.

He assured that the party remains resolute in its pursuit of a better and more prosperous Osun State for all.

The state APC chairman however, admonished the current administration in the state to take a cue from the lessons of Ramadan by embracing fairness, justice and accountability in governance, rather than engaging in the policies and actions that continue to deepen hardship and disunity among the people.

In Lawal’s words: “On behalf of my family and the entire APC family in Osun State, I am wishing all the Muslim Ummah a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration”.
