According to the chairman of the Osogbo-MPU, Mr. Yinka Odewale, the death of Pastor Idowu was sudden and shocking which still remains a delusion in the memory of his well-wishers.
Odewale described the deceased as a credible, co-operative and resourceful member of the union in Osogbo where he had been using his God-given endowments for the advancement of the union in the overall interest of the development of his town.
He stated that the rich and robust contributions of Pastor Idowu at the monthly meetings of the union shall be sorely missed as it would be pretty difficult to find his replacement in that regard.
The MPU chairman explained that though death is a necessary end of all mortals but no one prays for the quick exit of his loved ones while the destined time for the attainment of the final destinations of the journey of life of everyone is beyond the comprehension of any human being.
In Odewale’s words: “Though we love our fallen brother. But we are helpless as the solution for the retention of life in perpetuity is an impossible utopia of all mortals.
“I have solace in the verifiable fact that our brother died a fulfilled man as he successfully ran the race of life to its logical conclusion that resulted in him leaving behind indelible achievements in all ramifications.
“We shall remember the late Pastor Idowu for his rich sense of humour, bluntness and a vivid attention to details in all his endeavours.
“That the late Pastor Idowu was an illustrious and highly valued son of Modakeke is not an hyperbolic expression as it is on record that he had exhibited the traits confirming same towards the advancement of our community on several occasions.
“We patently share in the grief over the death of Pastor Idowu and our prayer to his children, widow and well-wishers is to take the unsavoury development philosophically as no leaf falls off a tree without the express knowledge of God”, the Osogbo MPU chairman pleaded.”
