Ijesaland Celebrates Excellence as ICDA Honour Aviation Industry Icon and Osun APC Chieftain, Dr. Thomas Ogungbangbe
The Ijesa Community Development Assembly (ICDA) has formally inducted the Group Managing Director of CITAS Energies Ltd, Prince (Dr.) Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe, into the distinguished circle of Ijesa Developers, marking a proud and memorable moment for the entire Ijesa nation.
Widely respected as a trailblazer in Nigeria’s downstream oil and gas sector, Dr. Olaleye Ogungbangbe is the pioneer Chairman of the Aviation Fuel Marketers Association of Nigeria (AFMAN). He is also a committed Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State and the leading aspirant for the Osun East Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 elections.
On Monday, December 1, 2025, he received a prestigious national honour as one of only 38 Nigerians recognized for their remarkable contributions to the aviation industry over the last century. The achievement stirred deep pride across Ijesaland, reaffirming his place as one of the region’s most outstanding ambassadors.
In a characteristic show of love and commitment to community growth, Dr. Ogungbangbe made a generous ₦3 million donation to ICDA immediately after his induction, a gesture warmly received and appreciated by the Assembly’s leadership and members.
