2027: Ogungbangbe Joins Osun East Senate Race

….Promises Bold, People-Focused Leadership Under APC_

Prince (Dr) Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe, popularly known as Tom-Perry, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Osun East Senatorial seat under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), pledging a new era of honest, people-driven representation.

In a heartfelt address to the constituents of Osun East, Tom-Perry emphasized that his ambition is rooted not in personal gain or political theatrics, but in the urgent need for sincere leadership that understands and responds to the day-to-day realities of the people.

“I am not in this race to make empty promises,” he stated. “I am stepping forward because Osun East deserves a voice that is bold, truthful, and grounded in the reality of our daily struggles. I come with a heart to serve, not to rule.”

Highlighting the key challenges facing the district—ranging from rampant youth unemployment to decaying infrastructure and ineffective representation—Tom-Perry declared that it is time for a leadership that listens, understands, and takes meaningful action.

He assured the people that, if elected, every step he takes in the Senate will be guided by their collective interests. “Your voice will lead me. I will not make decisions from afar. I will carry your hopes, your fears, and your dreams with me. I will stand firm for what benefits you—not for what pleases a select few,” he promised.

Tom-Perry’s declaration signals a strong push for grassroots-oriented change in Osun East, with a message anchored on truth, transparency, and courageous leadership.

As the race for 2027 draws near, his entry is expected to reshape the conversation around effective representation in the senatorial district
