As schools across the state resumed today, Hon. Ismail Sefiu Oluwasinaayomi Akogun extended a warm welcome to students, charging them to embrace the new academic term with renewed determination and focus.
In his goodwill message, Hon. Akogun reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to education, describing it as the strongest tool for securing the future of the younger generation. He highlighted some of his past and intending educational interventions, including the distribution of textbooks, notebooks, and writing materials, the payment of school fees for indigent students, the renovation and support of schools, as well as the sponsorship of summer lessons and coaching classes to strengthen academic performance. He also noted his continued support for mentorship and career guidance initiatives designed to inspire young learners.
He further urged students to take full advantage of these opportunities, remain disciplined, and strive for excellence in their studies. “Your success is my priority, and I believe in the greatness that lies within you,” he said.
Hon. Akogun concluded his message by wishing all students a fruitful and rewarding academic term.
