The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has clarified that its governorship ticket is not restricted to any particular senatorial district.
Speaking on a live radio program today in Osogbo, the State Treasurer of the party, Hon. Femi Kujembola, emphasized that the APC has never zoned its 2026 governorship candidate to any senatorial district.
According to him, “APC has never zoned its governorship candidate to any particular senatorial district. The ticket can come from any of the three zones in Osun State.”
He noted that the party’s tradition has always been to prioritize competence, capacity, and loyalty over zoning arrangements. Kujembola stressed that what matters most is presenting a credible and widely acceptable candidate who can deliver victory for the party in the 2026 governorship election.
He further explained that the Prof. Adewole Committee Report is being gradually implemented by the party, urging the general public to disregard any false claims or misleading narratives circulating from any quarter.
The party treasurer assured members and supporters that the APC leadership remains committed to a transparent, fair, and inclusive process that will unite the party ahead of the polls.
Hon. Kujembola therefore called on stakeholders and party loyalists to shun divisive debates about zoning and instead focus on strengthening the unity of the party. He maintained that only through collective effort and cooperation can the APC consolidate its structures and reclaim governance in Osun State.
He urged aspirants across the three senatorial districts to pursue their ambitions with respect and decorum, noting that the ultimate goal is to ensure the party’s victory at the polls and the overall progress of Osun State.
