The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has felicitated the immediate-past Speaker of the state House of Assembly, the Right Honourable Timothy Owoeye, on his birthday anniversary.
According to the state chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued by the party’s spokesman, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, today, Hon Owoeye, one of the leading lights of the progressive in Osun State, today, has proven to be a worthy ambassador of the party.
Lawal stated that the high commitment and dedication of the ‘Birthday Boy’ to the APC can not be taken away from him and it is on record that he has shown steadfastness to the progressive party since 1999.
He noted that Hon Owoeye’s successful administration of the state House of Assembly for many years is an attestation to the fact that he is an accomplished administrator and a team player.
The Osun State APC chairman hinted further that the celebrant has been relevant in the political schemes of the progressive extraction in the state since his foray into politics due to his God-given attributes.
Lawal congratulated the Ijesa people for having a son with candour and political sophistication like Hon Owoeye who has been projecting the image of Ijesaland positively.
He explained further that there is no way the political history of Osun State could be written perfectly without making a reference to the positive contributions of the ‘Birthday Boy’.
In the words of the state party chairman: “Let me congratulate one of the illustrious sons of Ijesaland, the Right Honourable Timothy Owoeye, a dependable and credible chieftain of our party whose birthday anniversary holds today.
“Your numerous contributions to further enhance the progress of our party in all fronts are known to all and sundry in our party.
“I am enjoining all the members and supporters of our party to continue to pray for the Right Honourable Owoeye who has been investing his God-given endowments for the upliftment of our party.
“My prayer is for God to grant the Right Honourable Owoeye a long life with accomplished aspirations in all ramifications”, Lawal prayed.
