PDP NWC Reprimands Members Over Anti-Party Activities

…Warns Adeleke, Wike, Fayose and Other Tinubu Loyalists Will Face Stiff Sanctions

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reviewed the dangerous wave of anti-party activities by certain members of the Party, particularly those openly or secretly endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027.

Of grave concern is the series of public media outbursts by some prominent figures whose utterances and actions — including public declarations of support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) — directly violate the provisions of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017) and threaten the stability, unity, and very survival of our Party.

Specifically, Section 10 (6) of the PDP Constitution states: “NO MEMBER of the Party SHALL align with other Parties or groups to undermine the Party or any of its elected government.”

Such anti-party conduct has already caused division, disaffection, and an alarming loss of membership, with the potential to cripple our electoral fortunes if left unchecked.

In the light of these developments, and in line with Section 59 (1) of the PDP Constitution, the NWC issues a strong reprimand to all individuals involved in these acts of betrayal. The Committee warns that any member — including Governor Ademola Adeleke, Minister Nyesom Wike, and former Governor Ayo Fayose — who fails to immediately retrace their steps will face the maximum sanctions allowed by the PDP Constitution, including suspension or expulsion.

The NWC calls on all loyal members to remain steadfast, close ranks, and work tirelessly towards the successful conduct of the PDP National Convention scheduled for 15th and 16th November, 2025 in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Signed:

Hon. Debo Ologunagba

National Publicity Secretary
