Dr Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe has expressed passion for the federal government’s output creation, altruism, and service to the people, steadily with its increased capacity for the maintenance of the existing public orderliness, economic stability, and mass mobilization for electoral process, conducive to the extant political stability.

He said, the ongoing mobilization of the masses for the continuous voters registration exercise and obtainance of Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) is encouraging Nigerian populace to accept the registration requirement as the overriding goal on which the ideals of democracy, governance, and socio-political progress rest.

The Chairman of Aviation Fuel Marketers Association of Nigeria (AFMAN) commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s objective of the renewed exposure of Nigerians to democratic norms and values, rebuilding democracy and stabilizing macro-economic governance, with the state-market relations being fovoured and without any albatross hanging on the neck of the nation and its government.

The citizenry as equal members of the corporate Nigeria have toned down sectional values and, in the stead, related to one another in the voters’ registration drive. Nigerians of voting age, irrespective of ethnicity, language, and faith in any electoral ward, division, district, or locality, have fused into a unified mass for popular participation in the voters’ registration project.

Ogungbangbe, a chieftain of the Osun State All Progressive Congress (APC) and Senate aspirant from Osun East Senatorial District noted, “Popular participation in the voter’s civic registration effort is the masses mobilized, the pivot of political development, pointing up the citizens’ re-awakening to the enhancement of the dynamics of electoral process.”

He articulated his views over the weekend in Lagos on AFMAN and Necessity of Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC).

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) CITA ENERGIES charged AFMAN, the corporate body of the aviation industry stakeholders, to see specifically “the voters’ registration exercise as everyone’s civic responsibility to own a Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC). The necessity of meeting the deadline for the exercise is also for the well-being of AFMAN as a factor in the nation’s socio-political economy analysis.

“The continuous permanent voters registration enterprise has created for democracy a complementarity set of values and aspirations of the political parties and the electorate, including the private sector economy chief executives, consistent with the values and practices of governance that are designed to enhance systemic social relationships and unify Nigeria’s economic collectivites in harmony of values and strategies, helpful in the nation’s political economy development.”

Going by visual cues personally fetched from across Osun East by Ogungbangbe PhD, the voter’s registration programme has been smooth and no reported skirmishes to redefine the exercise in terms of material condition, to be disturbing or cause discomfort to the government, political parties, and the electorate.

The AFMAN archchief urged the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs), Federation of Muslim Women’s Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN), Muslim League for Accountability (MULAC), and Christian Social Movement of Nigeria (CSMN)- the political arm of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to get Nigerians more identified with national affairs and issues as continuous voters registration exercise, remarking that mass participation in the exercise is a legitimate aspect of political development.
