The All Progressives Congress (APC), Osun State chapter, has extended its heartfelt congratulations to the former Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Jelili Adesiyan, popularly known as ‘Jalo’ on the occasion of his 70th birthday anniversary.

In a statement issued by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, today, the State Chairman of the APC, Sooko Lawal Tajudeen, described the Odeomu-born political icon as a patriotic Nigerian, a consummate statesman and a grassroots politician whose contributions to national security and democratic governance remain indelible.

While eulogizing the celebrant, Lawal noted that Alhaji Adesiyan’s tenure as Minister of Police Affairs was marked by a deep commitment to strengthening the country’s internal security architecture, fostering synergy among security agencies and promoting policies that protected lives and property.

In the words of the state chairman: “Alhaji Jelili Adesiyan is not just a political leader but he is also a mentor to many.

“His courage, loyalty and dedication to progressive ideals have inspired generations of politicians and public servants across Osun State and beyond,” Lawal stated.
