Osun APC: United for Victory in 2026/2027 As Adeleke’s Leadership Faces Growing Rejection

By :Salam Mustapha Asmof

It is a big embarrassment that a sitting governor like Ademola Adeleke has lost the trust and respect of even members of his own political party. When an opposition party like the APC boldly rejects his leadership and still receives heavy blows from his party members at the national level, it shows just how weak and unpopular he has become.

Despite all his begging, lobbying, and reckless spending in his desperate attempt to defect to the APC, Adeleke was still rejected, not just in Osun, but even at the national level.

His political desperation is clear for all to see, and yet, no one is willing to accept him. That kind of disgrace is a clear sign of failure and lack of value.

It is also a huge shame for the Osun PDP and Governor Adeleke to have lost key stakeholders within just three years in power. Most recently, three members of the Osun PDP in the National Assembly officially defected to the Osun APC. This is a clear and undeniable sign that Governor Adeleke and the PDP have lost political ground in the state even among their top leaders.

Governor Adeleke has disappointed the people of Osun State. Since he assumed office, there has been no serious development, no clear direction, and no proper leadership. He came in with drama and dancing, but governance is not a show, it is serious business. Today, the roads are still bad, no tangible development, projects are abandoned, unemployment and his negligence in education sector and insecurity is on the rise. The only thing consistent about Adeleke’s government is confusion.

The people of Osun are tired of fake promises and empty noise. They want real progress, the kind of development and peace they experienced under the APC. That is why the All Progressives Congress (APC) is preparing to take back the state in 2026/2027.

We are not just hopeful, we are ready. United and focused, the Osun APC is standing strong under the leadership of the State Chairman, Sooko Lawal Tajudeen Olaniyi, and the respected leader, His Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola. We are building a stronger, better party with experienced hands, clear vision, and the support of the people at the grassroots.

They have done it before, and they will do it again. Adeleke has shown that he cannot lead. He has wasted the people’s time, and Osun cannot afford another term of failure.

In 2026/2027, Osun will speak loudly with their votes. The people will reject failure and reward performance. Adeleke’s time is ticking and the APC is coming back stronger, better, and more united.
