Sen Omisore Sympathizes with Ooni, Ijio Community, and Ife on the Passage of Obajio of Ife

Former Deputy Governor of Osun State and distinguished former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the revered traditional ruler, His Royal Majesty, Oba Yaya Akande Elugbaju Oramuyiwa III, the Obajio of Ife.

In a condolence message personally signed by him, Senator Omisore described the late monarch as an iconic custodian of Yoruba tradition, whose reign brought peace, cultural preservation, and community development to Ife and beyond.

Omisore, a native of Ile-Ife, extended his heartfelt sympathies to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ijio community, the Oramuyiwa Ruling House, and the entire people of Ifeland over what he described as a painful and irreparable loss.

He noted that Oba Oramuyiwa III lived a life of honor, humility, and wisdom, leaving behind an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire generations within and outside the Ife Kingdom.

“The transition of Oba Yaya Akande Elugbaju Oramuyiwa III is a significant loss to the traditional institution, the Yoruba cultural heritage, and the Ife people whom he served with distinction,” Omisore stated.

While commending the monarch’s lifelong dedication to community service, peacebuilding, and cultural values, the former lawmaker urged all descendants and indigenes of Ife to uphold the legacy of the late king and preserve the unity he worked hard to maintain.

He prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed monarch and asked Almighty God to comfort those left behind.

“May his noble soul rest in perfect peace,” Senator Omisore concluded
