…..as FG Moves To Close $2.3trn Infrastructure Gap Through PPP
On behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Vice President Kashim Shettima today declared open the 2025 Nigeria Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Summit held at the State House Conference Centre, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Delivering the President’s keynote address, the Vice President reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to accelerating the approval and implementation of viable infrastructural projects across the country. He emphasized that the top priority of the government remains meeting the everyday needs of Nigerians through the provision of essential infrastructure—such as reliable electricity, motorable roads, accessible healthcare facilities, and quality education.
He further called for a reinvigorated and strategic collaboration between the public and private sectors, anchored not only on capital and investment but on innovation, efficiency, integrity, and long-term commitment.
“The success of our infrastructure drive hinges on partnerships that go beyond profit margins—partnerships driven by purpose, service, and national development,” he said.
Highlighting Nigeria’s unmatched economic potential, the Vice President urged private sector stakeholders to remain focused and committed, stressing that the Nigerian market offers scale, consumer demand, and return on investment that are second to none on the African continent.
The 2025 PPP Summit brings together policymakers, business leaders, and development partners to explore innovative pathways to close Nigeria’s infrastructure gap and unlock inclusive growth through sustainable partnerships.
